google better than yahoo in ads

Google is now really has become king. For the first time in history, Google successfully overtook Yahoo as the most ad-winning display in the United States.
As quoted from the site eWEEK, display Google ads in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2011 increased to 14.7 percent compared to fourth quarter last year only 13.3 percent. Meanwhile, the number of display ads Yahoo dropped from 13.6 percent to 12.3 percent.
IDC analyst Karsten Weide said that Google's growth achieved was obtained from small companies and medium enterprises (SMEs).
According to him, these companies have previously been using Google ads. This indicates an increase in advertising spending in the land of Uncle Sam's.
IDC recorded an increase in U.S. online ad spending by 14.2 percent from U.S. $ 7.1 billion in the first quarter last year to U.S. $ 8.1 billion in the first quarter of this year. Weide estimate, to the front display Google ads will continue to erode the ad portion Yahoo, Microsoft, and AOL.
So far, the companies are not threatened directly by Google, because their primary client is the advertiser's brand, while Google attract more advertisers from SMEs.
"But that may change when companies still rely on slow sales organizations that must compete with Google's automated sales interface Display Network is very effective," said Weide.
Not only dominates search advertising, the number one in display advertising revenue, Google also has an impressive gains in mobile advertising. Google had acquired mobile ad network AdMob, a year ago.
Since joining Google, AdMob network traffic, which consists of 80 thousand mobile applications and Web sites, has grown to more than 3.5-fold. The network is also now holds more than 2.7 billion ad request (access / demand information to the ad server) every day.
To celebrate the first anniversary of joining Google, AdMob launched a rich media ad format for tablet computers, applications refresher AdMob House Ads for developers, and mobile support for DoubleClick for Publishers. (Art)
